I bought my future fiancee's engagement ring in January from the Philadelphia diamond district and wanted to confirm the appraisal that I received from my jeweler. Rick Lewis's appraisal service far exceeded my expectations of an appraisal. We reviewed literally every piece of the GIA certificate and I learned an extraordinary amount on not only the engagement ring and diamond but also light performance, etc. If you live in the area or need someone to send the diamond to for an appraisal Rick Lewis is definitely the person you want for the appraisal. I am highly satisfied and should I ever need his services again will certainly call upon his services again.

My fiancee and I had her engagement ring appraised by Mr. Lewis. This was a new experience for both of us, and Mr. Lewis did a wonderful job. He explained every aspect of the diamond and clearly outlined the differences in GIA, EGL and ImaGem ratings. He is obviously a man who enjoys his work and was very pleasant, on top of being incredibly thorough. It was a great experience and we both would highly recommend his services to anyone seeking a jewelry appraisal. He is very flexible with appointments, and called us as soon as he had finished the appraisal with a value for her ring. He also mailed us 2 copies of the complete appraisal, and a light behavior report (if you have a diamond to appraise, get it done!) approximately 3 days after the appraisal. Great experience!
